Students following the instructions from the jigsaw.

Pieces of coloured paper are handed out. Students have to find others with the same colour and put the papers together to read a set of instructions.

The first instruction is to draw around their hands and put their names in them thereby recording the group membership, then they have to list five things they remembered from yesterday, and draw a picture of how the school council fits into the structure of the school.

The results of the tasks are then shared with the entire group.

  Basically fun
This is basically a fun way of splitting the students into random groups. Creating the groups through piecing together the instructions that they are meant to follow. They are seen to need each other to start the task.
