Not-for-profit think tank

Through Mutuo consumer co-operatives, building societies, mutual insurers and friendly societies work together to promote their shared interests to the Government, media and other decision makers.

Mutuo is a not-for-profit think tank that brings together the different wings of the mutual sector to promote its common message of success. Working exclusively for the mutual sector, Mutuo has well established links to mutual businesses, political agencies, think tanks and academics.
 Mutuo is committed to:
  • Conducting and publishing policy research on issues of importance to the mutual sector
  • Campaigning for a better understanding of the benefits of mutual businesses
  • Developing innovative new mutual businesses

Projects are managed by Mutuo’s experienced team of staff, who work with sector specialists, journalists
and like-minded organisations to convey the mutual message to opinion formers and decision makers.
