After the students, in groups, presented their business plan, the panel met in the lobby area of the venue and discussed their evaluation and response. Whilst this was happening the students were compiling questions for the panel.

The discussion ranged from comments on presentation techniques and the ethos of the students to questions of financing and issues the projects might face. Jilla Jamfar presented the groups conclusions, with added comments from each panel member.

The business plan is being published and will be available as a pdf shortly.

“The social enterprise concept was brought to life through the cooperation of the school children at Langdon Park School. It was my pleasure to be part of the panel. I was really impressed by the enthusiasm, co-operation and innovation of the young people. Social Enterprise London is more than happy to be part of this empowering and enterprising project.”

 Cathy Ward, Social Entrepreneur
"I was so impressed by the courage, creativity and vision of the young people who took part in this event.
“ They worked together, generated imaginative ideas, testing out their feasibility, developed an inspiring logo and marketing plan all within a very brief time!
“ Finally they opened up a lively debate on a very controversial issue with their head teacher, Mr Dunne, about 'healthy' versus 'unhealthy' foods in school!
“ An event like this does not just build the skills needed for young social entrepreneurs, but lays the ground for empowered and socially aware citizens of the future."
Cathy Ward, Social Entrepreneur
  Jonathan Blay, Mutuo
"It was inspiring to see the enthusiastic way the pupils worked together to plan how to build their own co-operative enterprise. I was particularly impressed by how well thought out their ideas were and with the passion in which they were presented."

“I was very impressed with the detailed analysis that the students had undertaken and their ability to present this to the panel. I believe the skills that the students have acquired will stand them in good stead in the remainder of their school careers and in the work place.”
