We would be happy to provide schools with the following advice and support with regard to the implementation of their race equality policy.

Advice and support for working groups within schools on building on their existing good practice in order to further promote and implement their race equality policy with staff, pupils/students, parents and governors.

One-day awareness raising workshop, with all staff and governors; using theatre-in-education and syndicate groups, which are led by facilitators, who provide further advice and support.
Achieved by a one-day workshop – preparation work includes briefing meetings and 1:1 interviews with a sample no. of pupils/students, staff/governors and parents.

Racist Incident Guidelines
Twilight workshop – Awareness-raising with all staff and governors on their roles and responsibilities.

Work with pupils/students of all ages using theatre-in-education to focus on the impact of inappropriate attitudes and behaviours. Support and advice for staff is also provided. Chinwag Theatre Limited 07812 247951 or 07951 069187.

Climate mapping – An activity which can be carried out in 2 twilight sessions which focuses on the school ethos with specific reference to displays which promote positive images of diverse individuals and groups.

One-day awareness-raising workshop with parents
For schools who have had a Race Equality Workshop. Using theatre-in-education and sub-groups facilitated by facilitators who provide further advice and support.
Achieved by using the information from 1:1 interviews with parents and a one- day workshop within a local community centre. We are currently only able to provide this workshop in English.
