During the workshop, we look at values and beliefs, socialisation and interpersonal behaviour. Because of time constraints, this is evidently a very brief overview of this area. It is very common that staff indicate that they would like to do far more work on the areas of assertion and conflict resolution; they additionally point out that these areas and that of self-esteem are of particular use for the pupils and parents, as well as for themselves.

Provide opportunities for pupils and staff to role-play, discuss and debate issues surrounding interpersonal skills, and how these skills and strategies can deal effectively with conflict.
