This project was managed by the Half Moon Theatre. They facilitated pupil discussion, achieved by art, drama and music as stimuli. |

The main focus of this project was staff development and involvement with years 3 & 4. The facilitator carried out INSET with teaching and non-teaching staff in order to achieve consistency of understanding and awareness with regard to racism. |

There were a number of strands to this project. The initial focus was to carry out research and hold meetings within the school in order to ensure that the project met the existing needs and built upon the good practice with regard to anti-racism. |

‘Train the Trainers’ To provide 6 days training for 5 staff from the EAZ Schools & 3 members of the Management Board on Anti-Racism in Education, so that they develop the skills, knowledge and awareness to facilitate training within the EAZ schools. |
The training was rigorous, as necessitated by the serious/sensitive nature of the area of work. |

The focus groups of pupils, parents/carers, staff (teaching and non-teaching), governors, were highly successful, achieving their aim of highlighting existing good practice, while exposing gaps in the curriculum, policies and practices within the school in the area of anti-racism. |

To develop a partnership between pupils, parents and staff in Chisenhale Primary School in order to understand the implications of the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry Report, understand what prejudice is, what equality of opportunity means, and design and produce a permanent mural within the school. |
This project was managed by Chisenhale Studios, who worked with local artists to produce artwork with the children, which represents the diversity of the ethnic groups of pupils and the school community. |
