Achievements:

The two elements of this project were:a) Drama - encouraging children to explore their own individuality and build relationships with their peers, placing particular emphasis on racial & cultural diversity, while challenging prejudice. This included a wide variety of activities for the children to participate in and drama scenarios performed by the adults leading the project; b) Art - the aim of which was to produce a permanent mural worked on together by year 4 & 5 children using the theme of community living and working together in positive ways. It explored issues related to bullying, racism and prejudice, loyalty and sharing.The teams observed children playing together to look at areas that would benefit from more focused attention. A teacher’s handbook has been produced to support the ongoing work in the areas addressed across the school. |
