To build on existing good practice, and identify gaps and areas for development on anti-racism in education. |

There were a number of strands to this project. The initial focus was to carry out research and hold meetings within the school, in order to ensure that the project met the existing needs and built upon the good practice with regard to anti-racism.A team of actors and an artist used their specific skills to examine the theme of self-identity and knowing others. These sessions were very successful and appreciated by pupils and staff alike; packs of work were left for the school to continue building on the wor. Staff also attended a workshop on definitions and language. Specific additional consultation was given about the observation and comments made by the pupils, as well as advice and support on curriculum development on history and religious education. |
