Your Students Can Run Fair Trade Craft Businesses at London Markets

Your students can learn about design, business and trade by taking part in the second year of the Comolongmo Fair, click here to read last years web report. They will design and create their own products and then run a market stall at Spitalfields Market from 24 – 27 Oct 2009 and/or Greenwich Market 28 Oct - 01 Nov 2009.

The Comolongmo initiative works for fairer trade and to alleviate poverty in Nepal in aid of Kumbeshwar Technical School, a school set-up to help the poorest community in Kathmandu It promotes Nepalese rugs made by the school and fair trade products from organic tea to hand made paper.

Your students can run their own craft business, making cards, lamp shades, boxes... from Nepalese handmade paper... they can design their own rugs and learn how they are made... they can act as journalists promoting the Comolongmo work... they can run their own market stall..
