Child Labour

Save the Children have a website called Eye to Eye that has a range of resources and activities to explore the issue of Child Labour. The site is up for one more year, and you can order from it hard copies including DVDs of the resources from the site, as well as downloading materials.

Inclusion activities

The 2005 Development Education Summer school, organised by DEEEP (Development Education European Project), focused on the theme inclusion from Northern and Southern perspectives. The conference was attended by a mixture of 120 disabled and able bodied delegates from 80 counties around the world.

During the week delegates worked towards producing tool kits of practical activities which can be used with groups of adults and young people to explore issues of inclusion and exclusion.

Linking Questionnaire
This questionnaire is part of a confidential consultation being undertaken by the UK One World Linking Association, UKOWLA, to look at the opportunities and challenges of different types of link and to encourage more open dialogue between partners involved in North and South linking. The findings will be incorporated into a proposed resource on linking - Toolkit for Linking: challenges and opportunities .

You can download a pdf with a 12 page class resource that can be used for KS2 and 3. Children learn about business and take the roles of shop keeper, plastic bag manufacturer, jute bag manufacturer, environmentalist and a government representative. There are briefing sheets, lesson plans, an activity to analyse decisions and outcomes...
