In response to the United Nation's call for an International Year for a Culture of Peace, the Tower Hamlet's arts charity Cultural Co-operation developed a Hidden Histories Trail in partnership with the Imperial War Museum, as part of their Sacred Voices Millennium Music Village 2000. Over 1700 pupils from 57 schools in 18 different boroughs, including Tower Hamlets, took part in the Hidden Histories Trail which explored the causes and consequences of military conflict through role-play activities, object handling and art appreciation sessions in the museum.
